Over the festive period, Intercity have been working hard with our factory floor painting division. Our team of specialists have been over at ABG Rubber & Plastics in Northampton to perform dust-free concrete floor captive shot blasting with our specially modified shot blasting machine; specifically designed to blast 100mm lines.
This project was solely shot blasting the existing concrete floor and painting new 100mm lines to designate specific areas and walkways on an existing concrete factory floor in Northampton. We use a purpose developed polyurethane floor paint that is designed to withstand wear and tear whilst standing out on a busy factory floor.
Our shot blasting machine breaks into the surface of the existing power floated finish, in the width required of the lines we are going to paint, so that the new paint applied soaks in to the concrete to ensure proper adhesion.
This contrasting red floor paint will provide a 10+ year life expectancy in a heavily trafficked environment. We applied four coats of the polyurethane coating which is designed to withstand abrasion from heavy forklifts and other abuse associated with a working factory.
